The Rudolf Steiner Archive offers the largest digital collection of the works of Rudolf Steiner online in English. Anthroposophists around the world use the Archive for personal and professional research and reference our site in teaching materials, books, and articles.
The Archive is funded solely via individual donations and small grants and we welcome additional financial support. We are seeking funding through the Archive's new nonprofit, Steiner Online Library (SOL). SOL is a US 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established to increase public awareness of Anthroposophy through the Rudolf Steiner Archive. The Archive has served as a key resource for Anthroposophists since its creation in 1978. In 2021, the e.Lib, Inc. transferred the Rudolf Steiner Archive and related technology, books, and materials to SOL.
Our financial needs are for our operating expenses which primarily include IT and Internet expenses, a professional book scanner, office supplies, rent, utilities, and wages. The Archive was built upon antiquated technology and we are updating the site to meet the demands of worldwide use with mobile capability. It is a massive undertaking but it is necessary for the service to remain viable. SOL will also continue to locate additional works, translate them into English, and add them to its holdings online.
