Become a Sophia Institute Certified Foundation Studies Group Leader/Mentor or a Sophia Institute Certified Biography Studies Counsellor or Group Leader. Complete the Sophia Institute Group Leader/Mentor Certification Program and become a Sophia Institute Certified Group Leader/Mentor. Upon completion of the program the Sophia Institute Certified Group Leader/Mentor qualifies to set up and lead their own Foundation Studies Program or Biographies Studies Program. The Group Leader/Mentor sets up a local Foundation Studies group or Biography Studies group with 6+ students and/or works with online students. The Foundation Studies typically comprise 2 semesters (14 credits) and the Biography Studies comprise 1 semester (7 credits). The groups meet weekly or bi-weekly during the school year, or as agreed upon. The students are enrolled as a group under the auspices of the group leader and work under the guidance of the local Group Leader. The group leader has access to the Sophia Institute study materials, assignments and detailed lesson plans for each session. Alternatively, or in addition, the Group Leader/Mentor works as an online Foundation Studies Program Mentor or Biography Studies Counsellor with individual students including online students.
Sophia Institute Foundation Studies Group Leader/MentorTo receive certification as a Sophia Institute Certified Group Leader/Mentor for Foundation Studies the following credit courses (15 credits) need to be completed. In order to complete all required courses for this program, allow approx. 3 - 6 hours per week for 9 - 12 months.
Sophia Institute Certified Group Leader/Mentor for Biography StudiesTo receive certification as a Sophia Institute Certified Group Leader/Mentor for Biography Studies the following credit courses (14 credits) need to be completed.
