Typical course of studies for the Waldorf Teacher Training:
Year 1
1st Semester: Foundation Studies Courses I (4 credits)
2nd Semester: Foundation Studies Courses II (4 credits)
Year 2 and 3
1st Semester: Waldorf Certificate Program I (7 credits)
2nd Semester: Waldorf Certificate Program II (7 credits)
3rd Semester: Waldorf Certificate Program III (7 credits)
4th Semester: Waldorf Certificate Program IV (7 credits)
The Foundation Studies Courses form a unit in itself and a student may select to only complete the Foundation Studies Courses or transfer to other programs after the completion of the Foundation Studies Courses.
In Short - How Do The Courses Work?
1. You sign up for the course.
2. A Sophia Institute mentor will be assigned to you.
3. You will receive the first lesson including the study materials and the assignments.
4. You study the materials, complete and submit the completed assignments.
5. Your mentor will review the completed assignment and send you feedback and the next lesson (usually within 48 hours).
6. You work on the next lesson ... until all lessons are completed.
7. Upon completion of the course you will receive the certificate of completion from the Sophia Institute including the official transcript.
