The Future of the Library: Creating it together.  As you might have heard, the Rudolf Steiner Library is going through a transition. We've moved from our previous home into a temporary location where we're spending the year cleaning and repairing our whole 86-year-old collection. We're also looking at how this incredible resource can be more available for the whole movement and can better serve anthroposophy's future growth. What are the activities and programs that can spark new life? It's a time for reflection as well as for looking forward. And it's definitely a time for work.

We have some 25,000 books and another 11,000 pamphlets and other items that need our care. The collection has never been thoroughly cleaned, and now's the opportunity to prepare it for a new life. But it's going to take volunteers... an army of them. Besides our regularly scheduled weekly volunteers, we've also begun having bi-weekly work parties at the library, and, starting this summer, we'll also be hosting workshops and work weeks. There are lots of opportunities to get involved! More information below.

Please spread the word in your community by forwarding this message, and by downloading posters at our blog (library.anthroposophy.org) and posting them at your local branch, school, church, medical clinic, or any other community space!

The future of the library depends on the community coming together around it at this moment. Thanks so much for your support.
