The songs on these 2 CDs are a selection of songs this group of performers has sung as a class in Grades 3, 4, 5 and 6 in a Waldorf School setting. Throughout those years we explored more and more songs during our recorder playing and singing of about 20 minutes per day. And then there was this idea: Why not share some of them? Consequently, on a beautiful day in late spring in the year 2014, 21 students, then at the end of Grade 6, 2 teachers, a pianist and a sound engineer got together and recorded 24 songs in the school's gym which had been turned into a sound stage. It was hard work ‐ but what a great experience! Ideas like producing a CD with a group of Waldorf Grades School children are born out of inspiration, and I hope that this music will be an inspiration for other teachers, admirers and friends of choral singing, and, of course, families. - Collected and directed by Hans-Peter Mothes, Waldorf Class Teacher
