We invite you to join us for a special Midsummer event on Saturday, June 25 for an evening of celebration, reflection and community appreciation. The evening will include opportunities to socialize, sing, share a meal, participate in stirring a biodynamic preparation, remember Novalis Institute and celebrate this unique time of year marked by the Summer Solstice and St. John’s Tide.
A note from Marti Stewart on behalf of Board of the Novalis Institute:
This will be the final event organized by Novalis Institute and we will take time to consciously acknowledge this ending. Novalis Institute was born in 1999 out of the will of members of the local community to deepen their understanding of Anthroposophy in a living, dynamic way. Known for several years, simply as Minnesota Foundation Studies prior to coming into the name, Novalis Institute, this collective educational effort has been carried by many individuals over the past 23 years and impacted many more.
The mission of Novalis has always been focussed on opening the pathways to inner development and the evolution of human consciousness. At the heart of Novalis has been the Biography work led by Linda Bergh. We have worked and played together to discern the purpose and meaning in our lives, to lift the veil between the seen and unseen worlds, to thread a line through the past, present and future and to awaken the fullness of our capacities as human beings.
To truly know the world, look deeply within your own being; to truly know yourself, take real interest in the world. – Rudolf Steiner
We hope that you can join us in remembering and celebrating the inner and outer connections we have made through Novalis Institute over the past 23 years.
With Gratitude, Novalis Institute Board of Trustees
Karyn Penn, Carolyn Laine, Marti Stewart, Donna Webb, Linda Bergh
A note from Dennis about the Biodynamic Stirring :
All are invited to take a turn in the stirring at the Dietzel garden which will begin at 5 PM and will take one hour, after which we will sprinkle the preparation on the land. The BD 500 preparation is like a homeopathic enlivening of the soil. Towards the end of the evening, when darkness is falling, we will have a fire in celebration of St John’s day (June 24) and the summer solstice (June 21).
