Hello Living Environment Supporters, What an exciting, dynamic year it has been. We hosted a successful and meaningful 7th Annual Seedfest, secured a grant to explore value-added agriculture, opened opportunities for public camping opportunities through a program called Harvest Hosts, and we have explored how best to preserve our vegetables so families can make the most of healthful food year around. This has led to several new recipes for sauerkraut and pesto. The support of patrons such as yourself is incredibly valuable as we develop a video series and our community kitchen.  The community kitchen will provide a space for people to gather around a table, eat food from our harvest, and share in our common humanity. We know that the best way to tap into our connected humanity is through the earth and the opportunities it provides for connection and meaning.  Our vision is to have the community kitchen on the farm as a hearth for people to experience the connection of seed to plant to food to flower to seed once more. We received a grant from the Sherwood Foundation to do a feasibility study and business plan for this, and we are busy preparing the next steps to go forward with completion of the community kitchen. Your donation will be a tremendous help in accomplishing this goal!
Can you support us in 2020? If you see the value in our goals and activities we encourage you to help us continue to build our farm's capacity to serve the public and expand our resources. You can support us through the following avenues: Online donations can be made by selecting "Pay Now" on our website: click here. Send check donations made out to Living Environment Foundation to 120024 Everett Drive, Scottsbluff, NE 69361

The Living Environment Foundation is a 501c3 nonprofit and donations are tax exempt. You will receive a receipt upon your donation that you can use for those purposes. We are so grateful to all of you and we welcome your feedback so we can continue to provide education in a way that makes the most sense for you and for us! Please be sure to follow us on Facebook and/or Instagram and check out our website if you have not done so already.  Happy Holiday season and best wishes for you all! -- Meadowlark Hearth Living Environment Team ... more ...
