Ninety years ago this June, Rudolf Steiner gave a series of lectures and conversations in Koberwitz, Germany (now in Poland) to a group of practicing farmers concerned with the decline in the health of soils, plants, and animals. These talks formed the fundamental principles of biodynamic farming and gardening, a unified approach to agriculture that relates the ecology of the farm-organism to that of the entire cosmos.
In celebration of this anniversary, biodynamic farmers and gardeners worldwide will be applying the preparations during the same days during which Rudolf Steiner gave the lectures: June 7-16, 1924. Demeter International encourages concerted global action on June 8-9, 2014.
