Wednesday, October 2, 2013 from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM (PDT) Mt Vernon, WA: RSF Social Finance and its Shared Gifting partners would like to invite you to a community reception celebrating the local sustainable food community in Skagit County! RSF is in Skagit Valley to facilitate a daylong meeting of eight local sustainable food focused non-profits:
Catholic Housing Services
Community Action of Skagit County
Community to Community Development
Latino Business Retention and Expansion Program
Skagit Valley Farmers Market Coalition
Northwest Agriculture Business Center
Skagitonians to Preserve Farmland
Viva Farms
Together we will be experimenting with an innovative process of community grantmaking called Shared Gifting. For the reception we would like to invite friends, partners, community members, funders, and family to join us after the meeting to learn about Shared Gifting, the local food movement, and to enjoy an evening of local food and drink! The event is free but RSVP is required.

About RSF's Shared Gifting Program
The RSF Shared Gifting Program demonstrates an innovative model of grantmaking that is designed to encourage collaboration and leverage community knowledge to determine how funds should be distributed. We believe it is possible to transform the dynamics of the philanthropic field by fostering a spirit of collaboration and learning, rather than competition, in the grantmaking process.
