Anthroposophic Psychology Associates in North America (APANA) seeks to foster the insights of Rudolf Steiner’s views on “Psychosophy”, the ‘wisdom of the soul’. Each of the founding associates are committed to bringing clarity to the essential principles shaping Anthroposophic Psychology and formulating an approach to psychotherapy and counseling that embraces the best practices of the major streams of psychology. Its primary mission is to introduce an approach to psychology that is based on salutogenesis, the view of the healthy developing human soul, and to offer   embodied practices of mindfulness and presencing.

APANA is an association of professional psychologists who are dedicated to fostering research into the many dimensions of human consciousness, supporting the emergence of a cultural of universality, and promoting an experiential education that conveys the value and application of Anthroposophic Psychology. The cultivation of enhanced states of consciousness on the part of practitioners and the capacity to craft a language of soul phenomena to the interested public; students and professionals alike are all key goals of the association.

The APANA journal strives to become an open forum dedicated to exploring the riddles of the soul in the 21st century. It is a place for disseminating information about events, articles, books and research projects relevant to advancing Anthroposophic Psychology, networking individuals who are practicing Anthroposophic Psychotherapy and Counseling, inviting research, sharing resource materials and engaging in engendering dialogues. Please see the new website for Association for Anthoposophic Psychology. There are practitioners listed. A new three-year round of the Anthroposophic Psychology certification program is beginning in April, involving 3 five-day conferences per year. Check it out and sign up soon! I will be assisting with the Minnesota cohort.
