Dear Colleagues and Friends,
For five days next week, 1100 Waldorf early childhood educators from around the world will gather at the Goetheanum in Dornach to celebrate 100 years of Waldorf education, and to look at the past, the present, and most importantly, the future of our work with young children and their families around the world. Inner Freedom and Social Responsibility will be the focus of our work together.
On Thursday, April 18th, we will have a special Waldorf 100 celebration, accompanied by the lighting of candles in a great circle around the Goetheanum, with music and words of celebration. As a central element of this celebration will be a verse given by Rudolf Steiner, called "Victorious Spirit".
We would like to invite our colleagues around the world to join us on that day by speaking this same verse as you begin your day, or as you meet with your colleagues:
Victorious Spirit,
Flame through the impotence of irresolute Souls,
Burn out the egoism,
Ignite the compassion,
That selflessness,
The life stream of mankind,
Well up as the source
Of Spirit rebirth.
In this way, a great spiritual wave can encircle the globe throughout the day, and we can all feel joined together in celebration and commitment toward the tasks of the future.
with warm greetings from IASWECE - Clara Aerts, Stefanie Allon, Erika Henning, Silvia Jensen, Susan Howard, Philipp Reubke, and Lourdes Tormes
