Sound Circle Eurythmy is delighted to announce its first ever 5th-Year Artistic Post-Graduate Training to be held in Boulder, Colorado from October 24, 2014 to April 4, 2015.
Plans are still very much in the formative stage but include:
- Helping create and tour the 2014-15 SCE Ensemble programs. These include the newest full-length evening program around the theme of WATER, which is slated for performances throughout March, including for World Water Day on March 22. In addition, school and public performances for lower school, middle and high school students will also be developed together.
- Regularly scheduled solo and group sessions with SCE directors Glenda and David-Michael Monasch (along with other adjunct faculty) to explore a variety of eurythmic ideas, questions, and concerns; through work on music and texts of your own choosing, as well as through conversation and study. Your self-directed work will receive advice and support, whether alone, or with colleagues.
- Possible attendance at 1st and 3rd-Year classes in the SCE Training, as determined by your individual interests and availability.
- The possibility to join SCE Training students for comparative movement studies, festival celebrations, Waldorf classroom observations, etc.
- Participation in a national Stage Lighting Conference with Thomas Sutter and Licht Eurythmie from Dornach, Switzerland, tentatively scheduled for Feb 20-22, 2015.
- Focus on Rudolf Steiner’s indications for English Eurythmy and work with English sounds.
- For those interested, there will also be the possibility to take up explorations of both Pedagogical Eurythmy and Eurythmy in the Workplace.
Costs for the program, along with details about lodging, etc. will be determined by the extent of participation and personal needs. If you are interested in more information as it becomes available, please write SCE Artistic Director David-Michael Monasch at [email protected] and ask to be placed on our email list. Please also indicate when and where you received (or will be receiving) your eurythmy diploma, as well as any other eurythmy experience.
