Best wishes for the New Year to all. A New Year's Eve gnome was born yesterday and greets you all today! - Marjorie (California)

What is the process of becoming? No longer do we live in a time that is about the outer speaking to us nor do we live in a time where only my inner world speaks to me. The struggle to become between the outer and the inner world is real.

Jason and the Argonauts confronted a similar challenge when faced by the Clashing Rocks. How fast did they have to row to get through these clashing rocks without being killed? A crew member named Phineus comes up with a solution: let a dove fly between the rocks so the Argonauts will know how fast to row.

In a similar manner, a dove descended on Jesus at His baptism in the River Jordan.

There is a time and place for everything. In the case of the maturing of the Christ Child, it took place "a bit earlier" than what human development would appear to show. In that sense, Christ had to show the way, be the archetype of what we, as human beings, could possibly do. But to go first, to be the first to do something is also a lonely task and connecting to that which gives us the inner strength to do so makes this possible. Deep within, the spirit lives and finding it to give us strength will make an impossible task possible. We need to follow the dove and move at the pace it shows will make it possible. - Raphael (Philippines)
