Thank you for sharing all the background information, Conrad.
In the Philippines, although we are a Christian country that is predominantly Catholic, we continue to live with other religions like Buddhism as if integrated into whatever religious persuasion we have. I have many deeply Catholic friends who also find solace in what Buddha taught and continue to struggle to reconcile what attracts them to Buddhism with their Catholicism. At the end, the lecture explains quite clearly how each activity, of Buddha, or Zoroaster, all contributed to making Christianity, i.e. a world imbued with Christ possible. - Raphael (Philippines) |
Sixth holy night: Physical - I spent my time in Lisbon, jardim da estrela. It was a beautiful day. I was surrounded with beauty, fragrant scents. The jacarandás were flowering. I was drawing the movement of people in the garden, and using the museum for my artistic residency. I met with my sister and various other lovely friends. Jonathan would play the piano at Rua da Guiné. Surrounded with green, with purple, with red, with beauty. I delivered a workshop on sacred geometry and my nice Irene came. With Jonathan, I went to a beautiful exhibition of Marta. We also spent 3 to 4 days in Vilarinho. We cooked, and I visited the whole village. In the last day we went to Curia, and sat by the pavilion where there is an alchemical fountain made in rose marble, observing a young student of thalassotherapy serving cups of mineral water to patients.
Soul - The emphasis was on art, on beauty, on colour and botanical ecstasy. Spirit - I went to the cemetery and thanked all my ancestors. I noticed how everyone was called M., and they were all my relatives. Wow, so much love there waiting to be acknowledged , accepted. Exactly what TS Eliot says: “And what the dead had no speech for, when living, They can tell you, being dead: the communication Of the dead is tongued with fire beyond the language of the living.” - Maria (England) |
A lovely day with my son as we prepare for a camping trip. May this year of 2026 be better for all living beings. - Kathe (Australia)
