I am excited to share a remarkable opportunity with you: an anonymous donor has generously pledged a $50,000 matching grant to support Rudolf Steiner Library. We need your help to raise an additional $50,000.

With an annual budget of $120,000, this matching grant will cover about 80% of our budgetary needs for this fiscal year, with the remaining funds coming from smaller grants and membership contributions.

Your generous support will allow us to continue offering and expanding services to both the local and national anthroposophical communities. As the world’s largest English-language collection of Rudolf Steiner’s works and the only national anthroposophical library in America, we believe this resource is a treasure worth preserving.

We are deeply committed to maintaining and expanding this invaluable collection for all who seek to engage with Steiner’s work. Your donation will help us continue our efforts to support research and education in areas like biodynamic agriculture, Waldorf education, the arts, and much more.

In addition, as part of our 2025 collaboration with Lightforms Art Center here in Hudson, NY, we are pioneering a new way of bringing anthroposophical literature into conversation with spirit-based art. Through this expanded presence at Lightforms, which includes curated selections of books for each exhibition, our collection will reach thousands of new individuals each year. This supports our goals to increase accessibility, enhance our visibility, and ensure that Rudolf Steiner Library continues to thrive as a dynamic center for anthroposophical study and community engagement.

Gary Lamb of the Center for Social Research writes: “In my work as a researcher and author, Rudolf Steiner Library and its helpful staff have provided me with easy access to the widest selection of Rudolf Steiner’s translated work in the world. It’s a beautiful space to work in.”

Your support is greatly appreciated in helping us receive this matching grant to help our library remain a vibrant resource for the anthroposophical community and beyond. Every donation—no matter the size—makes a difference in reaching our goal!

Here’s how you can donate:

  • Mail a check to Rudolf Steiner Library, 351 Fairview Ave, Suite 610, Hudson, NY 12534

Your donations are tax-deductible!
Thank you for your unwavering support! Together, we can ensure the continued vitality of Rudolf Steiner Library.

Sincerely,

Zoï Doehrer
